People's Education Society was established in 1972. PES runs a group of premier institutions that offer a multitude of diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in Commerce, Engineering, Management, Medicine, Pharmacy and Science disciplines.

PES School of Engineering (PESSE) carries forward the principles and spirit of its founder Chairman Prof. M. R. Doreswamy: innovation, entrepreneurship, outreach and perennial love for quality education.

PESSE, the most recent addition to the PES family of educational institutions received AICTE approval in 2005.It is affiliated to Vivesvaraya Technological University (VTU). PESSE offers four-year under-graduate engineering degree program in Computer Science, Electronics, and Information Science. Post-graduate programs in Master of Buisness Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) are also offered at PESSE . Currently there are around 1800 students in the Electronic City campus. Located in the IT capital of India-Bangalore, PESSE is the first academic campus on the IT Corridor of Bangalore City.
