Selection of the students for B.Tech courses will be done according to the marks obtained in the JEE Main exam. There are also some other private universities that organize their own entrance exam.

B.Tech Admission 2016

The application form will be available through the official website. Eligibility criteria for admission in the B.Tech courses are mentioned below:

• Candidates have to pass their 12^th class exam or equivalent exam with necessary subjects like Physics and Mathematics from the well-recognized board, with a minimum 45% of marks (for general candidates) and 40% of marks (for SC/ST candidates).
• Candidates have to clear the JEE Main exam 2016 with a good percentage.

The JEE Main exam 2016 dates (Tentative) are mentioned below:

• JEE Main pen and paper based paper – start from first week of April
• JEE Main Computer based Paper – second to third week of April 2016

Documents Required

The necessary documents needed for the admission in B.Tech programmes are mentioned below:

• 12^th class mark sheet
• 10^th class mark sheet
• JEE Main exam 2016 score card
• Transfer certificate
• Domicile certificate
• Certificates related to caste, physical disability, etc. (if applicable)

Selection Process

Those students who have passed the JEE Main exam 2016 will be eligible for the admission in the B.Tech courses. The selection will be done as per the marks scored in the 12^th class or equivalent exam and JEE Main exam. Counselling for B.Tech admissions in Gujarat state will be held online. There are two rounds of the counselling. For counselling candidates have to apply online and choose their courses and colleges where they are seeking for admission.
The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit list and category and availability of seats in the colleges. After the seat allotment, candidates have to report to the allotted institute or college for the verification of document and fee payments. Candidates are suggested to take out the hard copy of all the necessary documents for further use.
