Nagaland B.Tech Admission 2016

Nagaland is located in the northeast part of India, which provides good opportunities for student for pursuing engineering courses. At present, there are many government and private universities/colleges in the Nagaland state which provide engineering courses in the various disciplines. In this article we will discuss regarding Nagaland B.Tech Admission 2016 that includes eligibility criteria, documents required, exam dates, counselling and admission process.
State Exam

Those candidates who are interested to take admission in engineering courses in various government and private universities/colleges of Nagaland state have to appear in JEE Main 2016 exam. There are also some other private universities which provide engineering courses they conduct their own entrance exam.
B.Tech Admission 2016

Admissions in the first year programmes in engineering field will be done on the basis of JEE Main 2016 exam and 12th class or equivalent exam. The application form will be available via online process from the official website. Candidates make sure to fill the application form as per instruction given in information bulletin. The eligibility criteria for admission to B.Tech Courses are mentioned below:

    Candidates must pass their SSE or equivalent exam from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examinations with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks (for general category candidate) and 45% marks (if the candidate belongs to reserved category).
    Physics and Mathematics are the necessary subjects along with any one of the subjects (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Biology) in the SSE or equivalent exam.
    Candidates have to clear the JEE Main 2016 exam with a good rank.


Documents Required

There are many documents needed for the admission in B.Tech programmes, the list of required documents is mentioned below:

    10th class mark sheet
    12th class mark sheet
    Domicile certificate
    Transfer certificate
    Category certificate (if applicable)
    Printed allotment letter
    JEE Main 2016 exam score card

Selection Process

Admission in the B.Tech courses will be made on the basis of marks scored in the JEE Main 2016 exam and 12th or equivalent exam. After clearing the JEE Main 2016 exam, candidates have to pay counselling fee and choose the colleges/universities as per their choices. After counselling the allotment of seat will be made according to the marks secured by the candidates in JEE Main 2016 exam and 12th or equivalent exam and availability of seats in the colleges/universities. After the seat allotment candidates are required to report to the allotted centre with all the required documents for fee payment and document verification.
