Nanotechnology is a branch of science that deals with the purpose of science, technology and engineering to build up new materials and devices in different fields in nano-range. Nanoscale technology and Molecular manufacturing are two major fields in Nanotechnology. Nanoscale technology studies small structure which is used for making stronger materials, better medicines and faster computers. Molecular manufacturing is concerned with building mechanical and chemical manufacturing systems that join molecules together.
Nanotechnology is applied in various fields such as medicine, textile, education, electronic devices, auto-mobile gadgets, bio-technological applications, genetic engineering, sports and fitness equipments, ophthalmology related instruments, quality control, forensics, defense, medical apparatus, space and robotics, polymer chemistry, aeronautics agriculture, environmental domains and business applications.
Nanotechnology is considered as a technology of future and may bring major technological advances in the 21st century. The technology has the potential to produce garments which can prevent chemical and biological weapons from touching human skin.
