College of Engineering & Technology, Akola is central India's premier multi-disciplinary Engineering institute engaged in education, Applied research, training and consultancy services which focuses clearly on Engineering.
Education at U.G. level. COETA was established in1983 and is affiliated to Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University, Amravati (NAAC accredited). It is recognized by the Govt. Of Maharashtra and the All India council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.) New Delhi and council of Architecture. The college is situated in a quiet and peaceful part of the city with a teaching & learning environment.
It is in the close proximity of Agriculture University, Industrial Area, Dental College and upcoming Sports & Health complex on NH. No. 6. At Akola. College has 39 acres of land and total built-up area is above 1 Lac thirty thousand sq. Ft. It has well planned, comfortable, attractive palatial building for administration, teaching, work shop, library, canteen, conferences. Three courses have been accredited by NBA in 2006. Its experienced, highly qualified staff & stable faculty is the soul of the college which is after the continuous over all development of students.

Admission Details of DBNCOET 

• As per the norms of Director Of Technical Education Maharashtra State, Mumbai, the eligibility criteria for securing admission at College Of Engineering & Technology are:
  First Year Engineering.
  Candidate should be an Indian National & should have passed HSC (Std. XII) examination of M. S. Board of Sec. & Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination with subject English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Biotech / Biology / Tech. Vocational subject.
  AND
  Securing minimum 50 % marks ( 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class category & person with disability candidate belongs to Maharashtra State only ) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Biotech / Biology / Tech. Vocational subject added together
  AND
  Obtained a positive composite score i.e. marks obtained after adding 50 % of JEE Main  ( Paper I ) & 50 % of normalized Std. XII ( Board or Equivalent Exam ) marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
  First Year Architecture
  Candidate should be an Indian National & should  have passed  HSC ( Std. XII ) examination of M. S. Board of Sec. & Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination with minimum 50 % (45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class category & person with disability candidate belongs to Maharashtra State only ) aggregate marks in XII examination of M. S. Board of Sec. & Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination with subject  English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Biotech / Biology / Tech. Vocational subject.
  AND
  Obtained a 40 % score i.e.  Minimum 80 marks in NATA examination conducted by Council of Architecture Or obtained 40 % of JEE Main (Paper II )
  Direct Second Year Engineering
  The candidate should have passed Post- SSC or Post HSC Diploma course in Engineering / Technology with minimum 50 % for Open & 45 % for reserved category from Maharashtra state only.
  OR
   The candidate should have passed B. Sc. Degree# from UGC/ Assoc of Indian Universities with minimum 50 % for Open & 45 % reserved category. Also passed XII Std. with English as instruction medium & Mathematics as a subject.B.Sc. stream candidate will be considered after Diploma candidates. They are required to pass the subjects of Engineering graphics/ Engineering drawing and Engineering Mechanics along with second year subjects.
  First Year M. E./ M. Tech.
  Candidate should be an Indian National possessing Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engg. / Tech. from an AICTE/ MHRD approved institutions as specified by the concerned University for which admission is being sought to a particular PG course/ Spl, with at least 50% agg. Marks (45 % marks in case of candidates of backward class category & person with disability candidate belongs to Maharashtra State only) and has non zero GATE Score.
  Procedure for Admission
  Admission through Centralized Admission Process ( CAP )
  Candidate seeking admission to Engineering / Technology courses are required to appear for JEE main Paper- I conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSC ) . The eligible candidate from Maharashtra State is required to fill online application form for Centralized Admission to First year Engineering and Technology for state quota and All India seats (15 % of Total intake). The OMS candidate is also required to submit online application form for All India seats only. The Competent authority , The Director Of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, shall be the authority for centralized Admission Process and direct the students as per their allotment through CAP to all colleges.   Candidate seeking admission to First year Architecture are required to appear for JEE main Paper-II or NATA conducted each year by Council of Architecture fill online application form on ASA ( Maharashtra Association Of School Of Architecture ) Application receipt centers ( ARC ). For First year Architecture admission MASA is the competent authority
  Admission at Institute Level
  The *20% Seats of sanctioned intake capacity of each course and the seats remaining vacant after last date of reporting of CAP are to be filled by the Institute, on the basis of inter se merit. Eligible candidates seeking admission in this quota shall submit their application form to The Principal, College Of Engineering and Technology , Akola on or before the prescribed last date given in the schedule published in local Newspaper or college website i.e. www.coeta.org
  Student to pay Tuition & development fees, as per the fixation by Shikshan Shulk Samiti, Govt. Of Maharashtra in due course of current academic year. Other details will be displayed on the website and College Notice Board.  Reserved category candidates & minority candidates taking admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) will get concession as per government norms.
  Mode Of Payment
  Payment is to be made through Demand Draft in favor of  Principal College Of Engineering And Technology, Akola. Payable at Akola. Or By challan
  Refund Of Fees after Cancellation Of admission
  The candidate who has been provisionally admitted through CAP Rounds I/II/II , Institute level may cancel admission by submitting an application in Form ‘O’ to the institute in duplicate.
  Refund shall be made after deduction of the cancellation charges as shown below.
  1              Cancellation request received before cutoff date & if a seat is filled in that course before the cutoff date                 Entire fee less Rs. 1000/-
  2              Cancellation request received before cutoff date but  a seat could not be is filled in that course before the cutoff date       No refund ( Except security deposit )
