Sri Krishna College of Technology, Coimbatore (formerly V. L. B. Janakiammal College of Engineering and Technoloy) was instituted in the year 1985 by the V.L.B. Trust, a charitable organization founded by the great philanthropist and industrialist, late Sri.V.L.BalaKrishna Naidu. Late Sri.S.Vankatram, over two and half decades of tireless effort and guidance brought the college to its present preeminent position.The college has excellent infrastructure to augment quality technical education.Housed in an area of 130 acres,the college campus is located at Kovaipudur   situated on the eastern laps of the Western Ghats, 10 Km from Coimbatore city.The college is approved by AICTE,New Delhi and the UG programmes are accredited by NBA. All the courses are affiliated to Anna University,Chennai and Coimbatore. Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field.ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere.
