VCE Principle Message:-

Dr.I.V.Rao obtained his B.Tech. degree (First class with Distinction) in Chemical Engineering from Andhra University College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam in the year 1969. He then pursued his graduate studies in Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and obtained M.Tech. degree in 1971 and Ph.D. (Chemical Engineering) degree in 1977.
Dr. Rao joined University College of Technology, Osmania University as Lecturer in Chemical Engineering in the year 1978 and was promoted as Reader in 1984 and as Professor in 1992 in Osmania University.While serving the University College of Technology, he was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship by the United States Educational Foundation in India and served the State University of New York at Buffalo, Buffalo, USA, during 1984-1987. He also had the honor of working as a Visiting Professor with the University of South Florida, Tampa, USA, during the summer of 2007.
During his service with Osmania University till his superannuation in 2008, Prof. Rao has held various administrative positions such as the Controller of Examinations, Dean, Faculty of Technology and Principal, University College of Technology. During his stewardship of the University College of Technology, the college was granted TEQIP funds by the World Bank in 2003 for the improvement of quality of technical education. He has published technical papers in national and international journals.

About VCE M.E/M.Tech Course:-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field. This is generally a 2-years for  specialization program in a specific branch of engineering or a technical field. ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.
The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.

Admission Details of VCE Hyderabad:-

A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other 10+2 level examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate as equivalent thereto.
The admission to the B.E. course, under “Category A” seats, is through a State-Level Entrance Test called "Engineering, Agricultural Sciences and Medical Common Entrance Test" (EAMCET), conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
70% of the seats under "Category A" are filled by the Convener of EAMCET based on the rank secured in EAMCET and as per the rules of reservation in force.
30% of the seats under "Category B" are filled by the Management based on the guidelines issued by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh from time to time.
Govt. has notified a tuition fee of Rs.98,700/- for both "Category A" and "Category B", whereas the College has made a claim for Rs.1,24,950/- per annum from the academic year 2012-13. In Writ Petition No. 26673 of 2012 filed by the College the Hon’ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh has made an Interim Order on 28th August, 2012 that the liability of each student joining the College shall be subject to further orders in the said Writ Petition.
The candidates joining the College are therefore informed that they will have to pay the difference in the Tuition Fee if so directed in terms of the final orders of the Hon’ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh in the said Writ Petition.
The Convener of ECET admits candidates at 2nd year of BE (lateral entry), from the stream of Diploma Holders and B.Sc. Graduates with Mathematics as one of the subjects based on the rank secured in Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) to an extent of 10% of the sanctioned intake, on supernumerary basis.
